To conceive and give birth to life is the most beautiful and powerful journey a woman can embrace. The birth continuum is a magical path filled with nuanced choice and tender discernment.
We live in times where we are inundated with information and distractions in every direction.
A time when the fragmentation from our sensorial awareness has been normalized. A time when the ritualization and invocation of ancestral wisdom has been forgotten.
The time has never been more important to reclaim the sovereign ways of birth.
In our modern society we have forgotten the sacredness of birth. We have forgotten that our true nature is cyclical and celestial.
Modernity has desensitized us from our inner truths, and from our wild instincts. Alluring us into a constant state of disconnect and complacency.
We have been made to fear birth, to need remedy for, to mistrust our body, our intuition, and to approach birth with critical thinking as a problem that needs solving.
This has created a fragmentation, an injury into the psyche and into our primordial instinct. However, birth is our inheritance from the intelligence of nature and the Divine.
Birth is a physical, mental, spiritual and holy experience.
Birth is primal.
Birth is entheogenic.
& To Birth in Power is to reclaim our humanness, our wildness, our instinctual responsibility as stewards of the Earth and generations to come.
We are Cheyenne Lakhota & Mimilia Suray.
Two mothers walking with a hearted prayer, sowing seeds of hope for regeneration. To support mothers and families as they navigate the thresholds of becoming and to walk with those who seek to rebirth the wild ancestral ways of life, woven within the memories of our bones.
The Wild Reborn combines the beauty of both worlds; The world of information and the world of instinct.
As an invitation for families to go into the birth process with confidence, knowledge, bodily autonomy, and intimate connection with the divine wisdom within our bodies and hearts.
Where we merge ceremony and empirical physiological information for the pregnancy, birth and postpartum continuum.
Mimilia Suray is a ceremonialist, poet, and dreamer of the wild.
Passionate about holistic birth care and a natural, uninhibited approach to birthing and birth tending. She is a mother to four wildlings, living in the high deserts of Colorado.
Trained with The ToLabor organization as a Doula and served as a midwife’s assistant for some time. Her passion for birth led her to explore extensive self-guided studies, which combined with nature immersive retreats and spiritual pilgrimages awakened in her a cultivated sense of devotion to the wild woman ways. She has been serving women in ceremonial ways for over 20 years and families with birth-related support for the past 10 years.
