Cloth diapering has felt like an act of love for m

Cloth diapering has felt like an act of love for my babies since the beginning.
The benefits outweigh the "cost" and were here for it.
Pros:
-organic fibers against baby's skin (no synthetic endocrine disruptors, no microplastics, no skin irritants)
-hardly any if not no diaper rashes
-no landfill waste (wipes are cloth too!)
-way easier to potty train (first baby pooped in potty chair from 7mo onward and was out of diapers at 16months)
-have saved countless dollars on disposables / as well as trash runs (we don't have city garbage pick up here)
-it's a ritual that I sincerely enjoy as it allows me to be in silence and in presence
-bonus points when first babe was old enough she enjoyed helping folding the diapers and wipes (full circle 💛)

Cons:
-not "convenient"
-needs devoted laundry day 2-3 days a week
-needs a washing machine or some elbow grease

It was only a few contractions before my beloved baby was born..
I was on my hands and knees, bowing down at the altar of birth. Being summoned to the peak, expanding in every direction.
My heart fully opened, as was my body.
Without thought, I cry outloud "i love you, mom!", tears streaming down my face.
When I say the word "mom" aloud, I do not only think of my own mother who brought me into this world, but every mother who has brought life into this world. Every mother flashed throughout my being, as I embodied a collective experience that is birthing life, feeling an innate connection and power to an experience that every mother before me has lived through.
How humbling it is. How potent, life changing and life giving it is, to birth life. To steward life into being.
To all of the mothers: i love you.
My heart is nourished by you and your love. Your devotion. Your sacrifice. Your strength. And your will.
If no one has told you today, thank you. Thank you for everything that you are, that you do and that you have done to nurture life. You are a gift to this world and to the Children of tomorrow. Our future stewards of this wonderful gift of life.
I honor you.
